Sangre de Toro Tempranillo 2016
For wine the minimum order is one dozen (12) bottles. Split case orders are welcome with at least 4 wines of your choice, minimum 3 bottles per variety.
- A friendly medium-full-bodied expression of the variety, it is nicely fragrant on the nose displaying dark plum, raspberry, liquorice and floral characters. The palate is juicy and lively, and shows smooth texture and rounded mouthfeel, finishing long and elegantly dry. At its best: now to 2018". - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
- Made with 100% Tempranillo, Sangre de Toro comes from the La Mancha region in Spain, an area known for producing luscious, ripe, fruit forward wines, partially due to the hot, dry, arid climate. Sangre de Toro means Bulls Blood, and was traditionally a name that paid homage to Baccus, the Roman god of wine.
- This Tempranillo offers supple, rich flavors that coat your mouth with a velvety texture. A deep, concentrated core of ripe cherry and boysenberry are interlaced with dried cranberry, exotic spices and vanilla. The wine is wonderful on its own, yet also matches nicely with Spanish cuisine such as traditional paella, meat based pastas, and semi-hard to hard cheeses.
- Screwcap. 14.0% alcohol content.
