Ripe cherries and mocha on the nose, the palate displays rich berries and plums with a hint of chocolate and spiced mulberries.
The mouth feel is soft and elegant with good depth and balance leading to a long and velvety smooth finish.
It carries a real concentrated flavour and has strong elements of fruit cake with a hint of thyme, as well as a minty, eucalypt tannins.
The charred oak comes through in there really well alongside the soaked fruit and ties together to remind me of a smoked barbecue meal.
A journey from start to finish, this is a Pinot to savour and really evokes taste buds, which in turn conjures up memories of meals alongside good friends and family.
